Moved countries and want to change region

Hello
I have relocated to the US and my account is showing its region as Souht Afica.. I understand that you cannot chnage the regions in the account but have to create a new one.
Question is how do I use the same email address i used to create the Azure account setup in South Africa? I dont have any important resources in the account as I use it for my study/certifications.

You will need to create a new account in the desired country/region and then contact Azure support to transfer your subscription to the new account. You can't update the email address that you use to access your account.
On the other side , If you have workload that you can recreate you can do it in a different region with the same account. Do you have any specific Azure requeriment there?References:

How can I create a new azure account using the email address I used to create the South african azure account? If I try signup using my email address the site tells me that I need to sign into my South African account as a pay-as-you-go but not create a new azure account and on the bank card screen I am not able to chnage the region.

2024-01-16T22:56:50.9933333+00:00 Hi David, You can try adding your new payment method directly from your Microsoft account (On your existing account), you won't have that limitation about the country of the card. https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments After that you can go to your sign up for pay as you go. If isn't work you will need to create a new account that's mean a new email as well to link to your new payment method. Let me know anything else.

2024-01-17T03:13:02.64+00:00 Hi Kuis Adding the payment did not work at all to chnage regions as the field was greyed out. I have deleted my csrd info and since there are no active subscritions runnig, can I delete/close the account as i want to sue the email address i used ot register my SA account and use it in creating trhe USA azure account?
