Data Migration between two sql server using the Data Migration Assistant Tool

UseCase- I am performing Data migration between the two sql server using the Data Migration Assistant tool. i.e I am migrating the Data from sql server1 to sql server 2 Case works Fine- Data Migration using the DMA tool works fine when performing the migration from Sql Server 1 To same Sql server1

Case works Fine-Data Migration using the DMA tool works fine when performing the migration from Sql Server 2 To same Sql server2.

Question- When I migrate the data using the DMA tool from server1 to Server2 from the server2 location. i.e DMA tool is installed on the server2 location The data migration fails due to the below backup path.

Backup Path-\SQMDIV01FC\New gives the error, I have provisioned the read/write permissions to everyone for this path. Still i get an issue below.!! The screenshot from the DMA tool. User's image

Please help how to resolve the above issue. How to make the path which is readable my both the source and the target server

Hi, @Kashish Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. Can you please share what is your source and destination? Is this from Onprem to Azure?

Source- Sql server1 Target- Sql server2 Source and target are two different sql servers! Its on-prem sql server to on-prem sql server migration,please.

@Kashish Thanks for the clarification, the path seems to be wrong the error is path not found. maybe you needs to check the file share path, you can also run backup tsql script via SSMS to see if it throw same error?
