When trying to migrate a simple HTML page from IIS to an App Service, I stumbled upon an issue. I could not find the App Service Migration Assistant. After going into "Azure Migrate" and selecting "Web apps". I created a new migration project. After the project was created, I clicked the link to download the tool: MigrationLink

I was redirected to the following page in both cases: MigrationWrongDestination

I've been trying to find the tool, but every link I find redirects me to the app service page shown in the previous picture. The link to the migration assistant is the following: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/app-service/migration-assistant/ But it does not work. The link is all over Microsoft documentation, but it is not working as it should.

Azure migration, unfortunately, isn't an automated tool irrelevant of what any docs say. Given the vast variety of apps there is no way to really come up with a tool that could handle everything. Hence guidance is more common. Here's how you can get to the current migration "tools".

    1. Go to the page start page.
    2. I strongly recommend you log in on this page as a lot of Azure pages don't work unless you're logged in otherwise they redirect.
    3. On the start page click Migrate to Azure App Service. It goes here but takes a while.
    4. Towards the top is a link to Azure Migrate. That is probably the tool you're looking for. Note that database migrations are a separate tool, I believe, and the link is at the bottom of the same page.

@Arnaldo Ordoñez Nuñez The Azure App Service Migration Assistant tool was never officially supported by Microsoft and was provided on a use at your own risk/no support is provided. This was not a great experience for customers, so the tool was retired and rolled into the Aure Portal Migration that Michael Taylor mentioned in their reply. Please see his reply for further assistance.
