Hello on 1-16-2024 the company I work for has had several people call today when trying to do something behind an admin wall (UAC). They are not given the "allow" option just a "No" option. Upon further investigation it was discovered that these users were not assigned to any groups. This would be a simple fix but in order to assign users to groups you have to have Administrator permissions. We utilize GCPW for our computers so everyone's account is a local account that was set up when first setting up the computer so it is an admin account. GCPW then merges that account to their new account managed by our google domain. So now the issue is we can't just add the users back to the group because the admin account that was set up with the computer is their merged GCPW account that dropped all it's groups. We have fixed the issue but are looking for a more effective and less time consuming way than going on to each individual computer, booting it in safe mode with cmd prompt, assigning the built in administrator account a password, then rebooting the computer regularly and using that built in admin account to reassign the user profile to it's groups. We have over 100 computers to manage over 5 states and can not possibly go to each computer and do this. If anyone else has experienced this issue and found a faster fix it would be appreciated.
