hey, I hope you guys can help me. I want to remove/uninstall Intune from my personal phone for changing to a company phone. Does this mean that after removing/uninstalling it, all ties to my company for potential data exchange are cut? Can I be sure that afterwards the employer does no longer have access to any data, location tracking, seeing which apps are installed, etc? Thanks for your clarifying help

@Adanac93, Thanks for posting in Q&A.

From your description, I know you want to know something about Intune management.

Based on my research, when you remove or uninstall company portal from your personal device and unenroll Intune, all ties to your company for potential data exchange are cut, the employer does not have access to any data, location tracking, seeing which apps are installed on your device. However, if the company device installs company portal and enroll it into Intune, then the employer can access to data, track location of the device, check which apps are installed and so on.

Hope this can be helpful. If there is any update, feel free to contact me.

Hey ZhoumingDuan-MFST thank you very much for your answer and effort. So removing Intune from my personal phone will indeed cut all ties to my company so that no more data exchange can happen (being it for which apps I use, location, etc) With "However, if the company device installs company portal and enroll it into Intune, then the employer can access to data, track location of the device, check which apps are installed and so on" you're solely refering to company phones? Perhaps I should raise the point that in the Company Portal app (the only interface I have access to) it says under 'Ownership Type' -> 'Personal' wheres under 'Device Category' -> 'Company Owned', even though this phone is a personal one. But regardless of this weird attribution, removing the devise in Company Portal should cut all ties?
