Hi Microsoft Community, I am having a hard time fixing this issue. I ran into this weir problem with our AD Servers. If I try to change a password in ADUC, I am *unable to change the password. Hower if the User tries to log on with their new password, they are unable to; but they can still log on with teir old password. They can even access their Exchange mailboxes with the old passwords.

Today I find it.

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \company.com\SysVol\company.com\Policies Policies{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:  A warning event occurred.  EventID: 0x8000001D.

Please Help me.

Hi @SI ANTOR If you have changed the password thruogh ADUC and user still using his old password , that's means that his computer is not connected to a domain controller via LAN or VPN when user try to logonand it use the old password in the cache to open a windows session and mailbox. To fix it ask user to connect his PC to network before open windows session. Group policy issue confirm that the computer is enable to contact domain controller to apply GPO , from my point of vue , it should be a network issue. Try to check the health of domain controller by running the following command :

dcdiag
repadmin /showrepl
