How do I get Outlook to talk to Microsoft Planner?

First time question asker, I apologize if this is a duplicate, I did get an error message before.

  • Because our team is growing, more remote and colorblind, we want to change how we handle e-mails, schedule tasks for team members, and so on.
  • Our team "hub" is MS Teams. We want this to be the main platform people use.
  • One person per day should look into the team inbox. In an ideal situation, they would be able to create a task in planner (rather than tasks), so that we can add the planner widget to MS Teams.
  • In tasks, it seems like I can't add the widget to teams, so there is now overview of who is working on what and when it's due in our core platform
  • Alternatively, are the other ideas on how to achieve what I want?

    Currently, Tasks and Planner in Teams have been integrated into an app called Tasks by Planner and To Do.
