I am trying to resolve the following error: The Kerberos protocol encountered an error while validating the KDC certificate during smartcard logon. Not sure why this new machine is not allowing the admin user to install Adobe and Remote support tools because it will not accept his credentials.

Hello Jim Xintaris, Thank you for posting in Q&A forum. The error message "The HTTPS protocol accounted for an error while validating the KDC certificate during smartcard login" indicates that the HTTPS protocol encountered an error while verifying the KDC certificate during smartcard login. This situation may be related to certificate expiration, untrusted certificates, or incorrect installation of relevant certificates. May I ask how you installed Adobe and remote support tools? Under normal circumstances, the installation of applications and the login of smart cards in error messages should be unrelated. Is it because installing software requires permissions, while smart cards are used for authorization? I want to know the error message displayed when installation fails. I hope the information above is helpful. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know. Best Regards, Daisy Zhou
