Hey All! Any updates on adding tasks and notes to Outlook for Mac? It’s been nearly 2 years since the Beta opened and still no word on tasks and notes.
Outlook, To-Do and Notes
Hello,
I have the Microsoft Outlook app installed on my Mac (with the new interface).
Additionally, I have the To-Do and Notes App installed on my PC.
When I open the Outlook App, on the bottom left side I see 5 icons: Mails, Calendar, Contacts, To-Do & Notes.
Whenever I click on To-Do or Notes, a separate page opens in my browser. Is there a way that my to-dos and notes are shown in the outlook desktop app instead of opening a separate webpage?
Thank you!
Sabine

2021-08-13T19:22:56.92+00:00 I see the same thing, but as the other poster mentioned, only in the "New Outlook" interface. If you toggle to the old interface they work correctly. If you toggle to "New Outlook", they are not in the interface and simply redirects to the website. [You get a message stating the first time you click it that says "While we're working on Notes module in the New Outlook for Mac, you can create your notes on the web app."]
Are there any plans on bringing this functionality to the "New Outlook" interface and if so are there any ETA's yet?
As of v16.52 this is still missing.

2021-10-26T21:33:48.143+00:00 I fully agree. In the Gmail calendar you can simply click on the day and add a task. I don't know why this obvious feature isn't available on Outlook.

2020-11-04T06:29:38.683+00:00 Hi @Sabine Patzer ,
Does the "To-Do & Notes" you mentioned mean like below?
Is this a problem that has only recently occurred? And can everything work fine before you install the To-Do and Notes App on the same device? If this is your case, I tried to reproduce your issue in my environment, installed Microsoft Outlook app and Microsoft To-Do app in the Mac. Then I added my email account to Outlook and click "Tasks" button, it will just normally show my tasks in Outlook and will not open a separate page in browser. So, seems I could not reproduce your issue.
From the perspective of Outlook client, Outlook itself could support Tasks and Notes feature, we could directly edit and share our tasks and notes in Outlook client. I also did some search about your issue in the Internet and have not found similar issues yet. As I know, corrupted Outlook program may cause issues like that, if necessary, it is suggested to completely uninstall and reinstall your Outlook to see if the issue could be resolved.
If this is not your case, please provide me with more information related to your issue.
