"Outlook data file cannot be accessed" after backing up on OneDrive

I decided to backup my computer by purchasing a OneDrive plan, such a mistake, got all my files backed up on the virtual OneDrive but it got stuck when uploading the pst files (I have two email accounts on my Outlook). Tried to pause and restart the backup, it worked and the file is fully backed up. However when I try to send/receive email from outlook I get that message for both accounts "Outlook data file cannot be accessed", all the time, I still can read my emails.

how can I fix this and still get all my emails back? I have access to all my emails right now and I dont want to do any more stupid thing like signing up for one drive and getting into more trouble. I don't want to lose access to what I still can access (all my emails). thank you!

    Hi @OneDrive User

According to your description, it may be caused by the PST being uploaded to the cloud after the backup, the PST path is changed, or the configuration file is corrupted Try the following possible solutions:

Check that the PST path associated with your account is local PST.

Remove the PST from OneDrive. More information, see: How to remove an Outlook .pst data file from OneDrive (microsoft.com). User's image

If the above doesn't work, please create a new profile to select the local path to PST.
