Hello Experts,

We have enabled Azure defender at subscription level and now want to enable Azure defender for Azure MySQL Database Server. But we can not find the corresponding configuration option.

We can not see the Azure MySQL Database Server in the resources to enable Azure defender. Please see the attached screenshot.37200-resources.png

Please help with configurations steps/links.

Thanks,
Ravindra

Hi @Ravindra Pawar , welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. This is in reference to the GitHub issue:
    https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs/issues/65579

I have observed the similar behavior where Azure Defender is currently not available to be enabled for Azure Database for MySQL.

I reached out to internal product team to understand the availability of this and below is the verbatim we have from the team.

"Currently we do not offer the ability to enable ‘Azure Defender for Azure MySQL’ at subscription level. Once we start planning the GA our Azure Defender for Azure MySQL in CO, this plan will allow customers to enable Azure Defender for Azure MySQL’ also at subscription level"

It looks there is some contradiction between the pricing link and the Azure Defender for MySQL.

We will reach out to document team to update the pricing link for the same. Also when I receive any other details on the same I will keep this thread updated accordingly.

We really apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

As per this document, only Azure SQL and SQL on VM can be supported.
