Question on the developer subscription.

Hello, I am new to Azure and I have enrolled in the developer subscription. My company is moving to the cloud and I need to learn the ins and outs of the cloud. What exactly does the developer subscription cover? Is it a flat $29.00 a month or do I have to monthly upkeep on all virtual machines in addition to the $29 a month? I really need to focus on setting SQL clusters in the cloud. I was hoping the developer subscription would cover all that. Any help in understanding this would be greatly appreciated. v/r, Chris

The support plan does not include Azure credits, which you will have to pay for or use a subscription trial such as Azure Free Trial, or a Visual Studio subscription that can give you $50 to $150 per month free
