How to stop Edge Tabs from popping up randomly

In Edge, when I open a window, for instance walmart, and then I click in the walmart app on an item, then another window opens that has nothing to do with what I clicked on in walmart. I have to close that window and then click back on the walmart window to see what I originally clicked on. This keeps happening. Can you tell me how to stop this???

    Hi @rcaz

    Does the issue happen with other websites? If so, are the pop-ups the same in different websites? You could also provide a screenshot of the issue.

    I'm not sure if that's malicious sites pop-ups, you can try to turn on Microsoft Defender SmartScreen on this page edge://settings/privacy, and turn on Blocked (recommended) on this page edge://settings/content/popups to see if it can fix the issue.
