I was in the middle of watching weekend update on SNL, and my PC spontaneously updated to Windows 11. I know I won't get an honest answer from this company. I'm just posting this so that people know Microsoft is literally forcing people to updgrade without thier consent. What a pathetic move. Edit: "You must have five tags." Fck you. I picked random ones to fck with you since you're trying to f*ck with us.

    Hi,

I’m sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience with the Windows updates.

    1. Press Windows key + R. Type services.msc, then hit Enter.
    2. Search for Windows Update.
    3. Right-click on Windows Update, then select Properties.
    4. Under General tab, set the Startup type to Disabled.
    5. Click Stop.
    6. Click Apply, and then click OK.
    7. Restart your computer.

Hello Since Windows 10, Windows update has changed a lot and Windows 11 share the same behavior. It is aimed to ensure the end user will always get the lastest experience by default. If we didn't want to get updates and we are using Windows Pro version, we could open an administrator command line and run the following command line to disable it. reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /v WUServer /t REG_SZ /d .. /f reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /v WUStatusServer /t REG_SZ /d .. /f reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /v DoNotConnectToWindowsUpdateInternetLocations /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU /v UseWUServer /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU /v NoAutoUpdate /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
