The EXIF information is missing from the Details Tab in the Properties window of all my photographs.

The exif information is missing from the Details tab in the Properties window of all my photographs; all photo extentions, JPG,TIF, RAW, etc. Copilot suggested to check the subkey and Data for all of the photograph file extentions HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PropertySystem\PropertyHandlers The Data was the same for all the extentions I looked at but did not match the data Copilot gave me. I changed the data to the Copilot suggestion - restarted the computer - still had the problem. Reset the data I had changed back to original data.

Thanks for your post. Before moving on, to narrow down this issue, can I know if you can modify the extension to .jpeg and see if it persists. Also, this issue might occur due to photo dll crashed, try the following method:

From admin Command Prompt, run:

regsvr32 photometadatahandler.dll

You should see the following output:

DllRegisterServer in photometadatahandler.dll succeeded.

Log off and log back in.
