Is JScript supported, and can it be considered as an alternative for VBScript?

Hi Team, We use VBScript to support ActiveX controls in MFC thick client application. As VBScript has marked as deprecated and in upcoming OS release VBScript will be completely removed.

We have an option to use JScript in place of VBScript - so wondering if JScript is supported scripting which can be used an alternative for VBScript?
As we have to put efforts to translate the existing VBScripts to JScript towards migration - we have concern though, even JScript may be supported for now - is there any possibility of getting JScript also deprecated in quite near future.

Please do let us know your valuable feedback.
Thank you.

Regards,
Arun P
