URL Rewrite Module 2.0/2.1 installation error

2024-01-29T09:54:31.91+00:00

Hello. The URL Rewrite Module solution doesn't work either. The installation reaches 100 percent, then the changes are rolled back. On top of everything else, the IIS configuration file gets corrupted and most of the pools become unusable. I'm using Windows Server 2016 IIS 10.0 and URL Rewrite Module 2.1 (also trying URL Rewrite Module 2.0 - no changes) installation log applied.setup.log

    @Максим Владимирович

    You can try to uninstall iis and then reinstall iis and url rewrite module.

    Uninstall IIS:

    1. Open 'Server Manager' and click 'IIS'.
    2. Click 'Manage' in the upper right corner -> remove roles and functions.
    3. Click 'Next' to cancel the '√' in front of IIS and select 'Remove Features'
    4. Continue to 'Next' and click 'Delete'
    5. When the deletion is complete, click 'Close'. Restart the server to take effect.

    The problem was resolved by stopping the AppFabric Event Collection Service before installing URL Rewrite Module 2.1
