Approvals not working in Outlook. Actionable cards and responses failing in both Desktop and Web.

I am trying to configure an approval workflow that is based in SharePoint. Whenever a new page is created/edited in a SharePoint site, an approval workflow is created. This is to be sent to a shared mailbox where a group responsible for managing these request can action these. Unfortunately every request we receive into Outlook (desktop and web) the actionable cards/buttons do not work. An error message proceeds. Microsoft state that there can be a delay in the sync between a workflow and a M365 group or shared mailbox, but this has been over 3 months and still doesn't work, despite numerous attempts. Any help would be great!

    Hi @Buist, Jamie,

Thank you for posting in this community.

I tested it on my end, but my workflow is running perfectly fine.

Based on the error information you provided, after a series of research and testing, I found that the root cause of this problem is not an error in your account or client, but an error in the server backend.

1.Some other users have reported the same problem recently, Microsoft seems to have fixed it recently, you can recreate a workflow and then see if the problem persists.

2.You can use Outlook online to see if the problem still exists.

3.If the problem persists, we recommend that you create a service ticket in the Microsoft 365 admin center > support > Help & support through navigation, as they have more relevant knowledge and permissions than on this forum, and professional engineers will further help you.
