Why is multi auth required for accessing Azure dev ops via Visual Studio?

I am getting an error when trying to access the Azure Dev Ops App Id: Azure DevOps - Microsoft Azure via code. The error is saying the following: "code": "InternalServerError",
"errorCode": null,
"message": "AADSTS50076: Due to a configuration change made by your administrator, or because you moved to a new location, you must use multi-factor authentication to access '<Microsoft-Azure-Dev-Ops-Id>'. Please report this error. ", I have asked Azure dev ops and they said to reach out to Microsoft Entra ID for assistance. For additional context, the code I am running in visual studio makes a call to Azure dev ops to set up a client, when the call to set up the client is made, azure dev ops throws this error. Some members of my team are experiencing this and others are not, making me believe it is an issue with my account. What configuration do I need to change in order to fix this? I already have multi factor authentication enabled on the account I am authenticating with in this scenario.

Microsoft Security | Microsoft Entra | Microsoft Entra ID

@Lauren Lindsey

Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

I wanted to check if you are getting this error in Dev ops which is in Microsoft tenant? If this is happening in Microsoft tenant then you will have to contact internal MSIT team to fix this issue.

You can contact them by submitting your request in "http://aka.ms/itweb/filloutaform" This will be handled by internal Microsoft team (MSIT).

However, this issue can be fixed by revoking your user account MFA sessions. This can only be done by global admin of your tenant.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
