Hi guys, I'm a bit confused. The policy looks like not enabled. Screenshot 2024-01-30 061718

However, under Site Permissions for Guest Expiration I see 60 days: Screenshot 2024-01-30 061755

Should it be like that?

    Hi @Cloud_Geek_82,

The image you provided looks like you applied the External User Access Expiration feature in SharePoint Online.

If the External User Access Expiration feature for managing site visitors is not enabled, then site Permissions for Guest Expiration will display "Your organization does not require guest access to expire. "(As you can see in the image below, and there is no delay with this setting, it is displayed immediately after closing the button and refreshing the site.)

    User's image

One thing to note: when changing the sharing setting in SharePoint Admin center, don't forget to click the "Save" button.

    Hi @Cloud_Geek_82,

You can set up an expiration limit in two places:

    • Globally – for the whole tenant, and
    • Locally at the site level

    Global Level:

1.In SharePoint Admin Center,Under Policies, select Sharing

2.Expand More external sharing settings drop-down

    User's image

    Site Level:

1.In SharePoint Admin Center, Under Sites, click Active Sites

2.Click the checkbox next to a site whose limit you want to alter, click Sharing

3.Check that External User Access Expiration feature is not enabledUser's image

If both of these places confirm that the External User Access Expiration feature is not enabled. then you can wait 24 hours to see the results, during my testing there was no delay in setting it up, but it is stated in the Microsoft documentation that there is a possibility that this setting will take up to 24 hours before you can see the results.(Or try clearing your browser cache, or checking a different browser)
