Whenever I open the lid of my Toshiba Satellite c655, it goes on battery even when it is plugged in. I have searched everywhere on the internet and found nothing related to this issue. Please, I need help fixing this and I don't want to buy any new laptop parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like something loose within the hardware.

I found out that the laptop hinge on the right is loose. That may be the reason for this problem. Can you tell me how to fix the hinge?

It's most likely a hardware problem. Contact the manufacturer to check the AC adapter and motherboard.
