how to make a shared folder that its files can be edited modified but not deleted

our school uses shared folder in server 2022 for office docs we need to create edit save and modify files in that shared folder but we also want to prevent the student from deleting these files what would be the permissions and the security definition to gain this goal

    Hello, You may modify the NTFS permissions:

    • Right-click on the shared folder, and select "Properties."
    • Go to the "Security" tab.
    • Click on the "Advanced" button.
    • Choose the student group then click on edit button

    • click on "show advanced permission", there you can see the delete permission tick box:
