Where to find M365 groups associated with a SharePoint team site

Microsoft's advice is that we should manage membership of a SharePoint team site at the associated M365 group level (rather than at the team site level), but I couldn't seem to do that either in the M365 admin centre or the SharePoint admin centre. Am I looking at the wrong places?

    Hi @WTurk,

Thank you for posting in this community.

We can view a M365 group in both SharePoint Admin Center and M365 Admin Center that are associated with a site.

    In SharePoint Admin Center:

Make sure you are a SharePoint administrator.

    1.SharePoint Admin Center >Sites >Active Sites.

    User's image

2.Select the site you want to view and click on the slider below and to the right to view the "Microsoft 365 group" column. If the column is true, then the team site has an M365 group.

3.Now click on the name of the site > select the Members tab in the pop-up page.

The section in the red box is to record the owners and members of this M65 group. The blue sections are the groups associated with this team site.

    In M365 Admin Center:

Make sure you are a M365 administrator.

As we know a team site can only have one M365 group. Usually, the group name will be the same as the team site.

    1.M365 Admin Center >Teams &groups > Active teams & groups.

    User's image

2.You can search for relevant M365 groups by entering the name of your team site above.

    User's image

3.Click on the group name > select Membership in the pop-up page.

The section highlighted in yellow records the owners and members of this M365 group.

Thanks for your answer. I was confused as I assumed that the membership management experience would look more different than at the site/library level, but if the above places are indeed the right places to look for the M365 groups then all good.
