unable to relay to external domain from internal application

Hello, i have an Exchange 2019 hybrid deployment. MX record to point to the Exchange Online Protection service in Microsoft 365 I added a send connector that sends outbound mail via Office 365. Emails are sent / received without problems Only issue: i have an internal application that send emails to internal / external users: Emails are relayed to internal users Emails cannot relayed to external users Any idea?

    You would need to receive connector on the Exchange Server that allows relay to domains other than your own ( the external recipients) You can use this article to set that up: https://practical365.com/exchange-2019-smtp-relay-services/
