Hello Team,

My query is more concerned with Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server. Recently I had raised a ticket requesting to get the Region access with zonal dependency (Availability Zones) for my subscription. Support quickly got the region enabled for me and I am very grateful for the quick assistance.

Now that the issue is resolved I do not want to create another ticket, however was curious to know :

  1. Why this happened in the first place? As in why does the region access goes away and then we have to request to get it whitelisted.
  2. Is there any dashboard or status page to check the resources in the different Availability Zones by our own?

Thank you!

Hello - Azure compute temporarily places capacity restrictions in some regions, so some of the customer segments might not be able to deploy workloads temporarily. You can view all current restrictions for Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server in below page. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/flexible-server/overview#azure-regions
