We have 5 computers that can no longer run the photo or calculator apps. They generate a kernelbase.dll error and this appears to have happened after windows updates.

Hello Kernelbase.dll errors can occur due to various reasons such as corrupted files, system updates, or software conflicts. Here are some methods you can try to resolve these issues:

    1. Run System File Checker (SFC): System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. To run it:   Open Command Prompt as an administrator. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
    2. Run DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management): DISM is a command-line tool that can be used to service and prepare Windows images, including those used for Windows PE, Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) and Windows Setup. To run it:   Open Command Prompt as an administrator. Type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press Enter.
    3. Reset the Apps: You can reset the Photo and Calculator apps from the Windows settings. To do this:   Open Settings and go to Apps. Find the app in the list, click on it, and select Advanced options. Click on the Reset button.
    4. Update the Apps: Check if there are any updates available for the apps in the Microsoft Store.
    5. Reinstall the Apps: If the above methods don’t work, you can try reinstalling the apps.
