OneDrive started uploading my files, deleted them and now wont recover unless I buy more space
I just upgraded my motherboard, freshly installed Windows, and Onedrive just started syncing my documents folder at some point after I activated Windows and only showed a notification when it said I used all my 5GB of onedrive storage. I stopped the sync and went to the onedrive website. I moved everything that synced into the recycle bin not realizing that whatever was uploaded was immediately deleted from my actual PC (seriously?!). Well it uploaded 5.1GB so when I try to restore the files from the recycle bin it says cant restore because I dont have enough space as it only allows 5GB and I have to pay to upgrade my storage. So I cant unlink my documents from Onedrive because it needs to be linked to restore the files, I cant stop any further uploading of files because it wont let you access the settings menu to stop it from wanting to sync until you unpause the sync again to upload more files which seems insane. Im currently stuck with the sync upload on pause and the settings button grayed out, my documents folder is missing 5GB of files which I cant restore unless I buy more Onedrive storage which I never wanted to use to begin with. I cant for the life of me figure out how to fix this and when I search online theres thousands of people that have posted the same thing happening to them but not this exact scenario Im in so Im stuck with this garbage software that I never even wanted to use!
