Why MAUI doesn't work in Linux Distributions.

Hello, Can someone explain please, a little about why "Microsoft MAUI Applications" don't have as "Default Platform Linux"? It's can be used in all OS, Android, iOS, but in Wizard of Project Creation, don't have a Linux subsystem. Ideas about it? Thank you, Igor Felipe Pereira Gutierrez.
