Hello, I'm trying to do an exercise Configure network access in Describe Azure compute and networking services module and it's not working for me now. First exam, creating VM went ok, I was able to do it, but now, after running command vm list, in this second exercise, my vm is non-existing now and after running a command for vm creation once again, I'm getting an error: (AuthorizationFailed) The client 'daniel.kulcar@r-it.at' with object id '79d46e38-b3b0-40dc-944b-bc1ae982ba03' does not have authorization to perform action 'Microsoft.Resources/subscriptions/resourcegroups/read' over scope '/subscriptions/16982123-2d3c-44ce-ab2d-0c419f4ce699/resourcegroups/learn-71c9ae83-41a3-442e-bdd6-34100109fc55' or the scope is invalid. If access was recently granted, please refresh your credentials. Is there something that can be done here? I've tried to clear my browser cookies etc, also waited for Sandbox to expire, nothing helped. Thanks for the answer.

    Hi KULCAR Daniel (R-IT),

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

In reference to the error message provided, it appears that you have successfully activated a sandbox and created a VM as part of the Unit 3: Exercise - Create an Azure Virtual Machine.

Please note that Unit 3: Exercise - Create an Azure Virtual Machine and Unit 9: Exercise - Configure Network Access are interlinked. It is crucial to complete the Unit 3 exercise first, and subsequently, within the same sandbox activation timeframe, proceed to Unit 9 to complete the exercise. In the event of a sandbox timeout during the lesson, all progress up to that point will be lost. Reactivation of the sandbox environment will be necessary, and the previous exercise (Unit 3: Exercise - Create an Azure Virtual Machine) must be redone. Microsoft Learn exercises are designed to be finished in a single session.

Attached is a screenshot of an important note from Unit 9 for your reference. image 1

To address the reported issue, kindly follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below:

Step 1: Sign out from the current browser login and attempt to log in again using an incognito window or in-private window with your credentials.

Step 2: Log in with a new personal email account into the learning path using a completely new browser and verify.

Step 3: If attempting to create a resource in a subscription lacking necessary permissions, we recommend signing up for an Azure free account through the provided link https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free and creating a sandbox environment.

Refer to this link for guidance on running Microsoft Learn training exercises in your own subscription.
