Remote Desktop Mobile on Apple Vision Pro

I recently purchased an Apple Vision Pro with the hopes that the Remote Desktop Mobile app would be available in the compatible apps section. I have used this app for several years on my iPad but I do not see it in the Vision Pro App Store. Do you plan on releasing it as a compatible app or a Vision Pro app in the future?

I have the same question. I'm not asking for a native Apple Vision Pro app for Remote Desktop, all I need is for the iPadOS app to be made available in visionOS. The fact that it's not available means that Microsoft opted out of allowing the iPadOS Remote Desktop app to run on visionOS. I would like to use my Vision Pro for productivity and one of my primary tasks is to remote into a Windows computer, this would greatly help me achieve this. Thanks in advance!

Add me to list. In meantime I have been experimenting with Mochasoft RDP client. Have not figured out correct screen resolution settings yet. Looks like a clunkier alternative until MSFT releases RDP client.

I have the same need. I contacted Apple Vision Pro technical support, and they said the only way to use Microsoft Remote Desktop in the Vision Pro right now, is to run it on Mac computer and mirror that computer to the Vision Pro. I asked if the IPad or IPhone could be mirrored to the Vision Pro, and they said that is not supported now, and they don’t know if or when it will be supported.

This was the biggest letdown when trying the apple vision pro. I thought it was going to help my productivity especially for traveling and this was the key. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to just allow it as a compatible app, I don't need anything more special than what's available on the iPad.

I was able to access my windows 11 notebook by buying the luna display USB-C gizmo. see their website for more details. you need an up to date thunderbolt or displayport USB-C port on your computer. you then install a bit of software on PC and an app on the Vision Pro. The Vision Pro then becomes a second display for your PC (or your primary display is you choose) the same as having a second monitor plugged in. your mouse and keyboard are still tied to PC and working off of that. you can also use vision pro eye point and clicking or pull the screen towards you and have a large touch screen. this device and software is meant to allow hooking up an IPad as a second display but, for my use, it works for Vision Pro. The resolution isn't fantastic 850'ish x 1100'ish (from memory). the device was $99. see the luna display website for more info and details. PS: this relies on a good WiFi network so probably won't be much use while traveling.

As Remote Desktop is not available from Microsoft for the Apple Vision Pro, try the following:

I was able to connect via to a computer with Mocha VNC and the controlling it with an Swiftpoint mouse.

What is I confirmed working are connecting PadPoint Bluetooth mice from Swiftpoint o your Apple Vision Pro. (their ProPoint mice should be working as well)
These Swiftpoint mice are connecting to your AVP via Bluetooth and using a special mouse protocol. Some RDS Apps (like Mocha, Jump Desktop, and Microsoft RD) are supporting these mice, today.

I had limited access to a Apple Vision Pro, but I was not able to install paid Apps.
So I was not able to confirm JumpDesktop to be working - which is available as an iPad App.
But I bet you could get JumpDesktop working via RDS (and VNC and their own protocol) at least with one window - maybe with even more than one window.
So this means, you could start with real spacial computing using resources from your PCs / the cloud (without having a MacBook in front of you)

So....please.... Dear Microsoft,

Release a version of your Remote Desktop App for the Apple Vision Pro

Also release an official Remote Desktop App for Meta Quest 3 (Pro / 2)
(it is already possible to sideload it to Meta headsets, and it is already working - But it needs some tweaks to be really be productive !!!)

The Windows App Mobile, iPad version now works on Apple Vision Pro. It works pretty well.

When VisionOS was released, software developers didn't checked the box to allow iOS/iPadOS application available on VisionOS. Yes, I was upset about Microsoft RDP Client that I was using for years.

Finally, Microsoft released Windows App for all apple platform. You need to connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to Apple Vision Pro. Because the eye tracking and go thru RDP.

Work great. I recently travel for work use the AVP for RDP and it was perfect.

I almost have Mochasoft RD client working. Now that I know AVP windows are also touch screen it’s moving me forward. Will check out Jump though.
