I want to use the MongoDB Atlas Connector for Azure Synapse with MongoDB 7.0 and it seems that the actual connector is not compatible. Are there any news on the roadmap about upcoming changes to the connector to get MongoDB 7.0 running or a feature request possible?

Hi @Dennis Proll , Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for reaching out here.

Unfortunately, you are correct. The current MongoDB Atlas Connector for Azure Synapse currently does not support MongoDB 7.0.User's image

There is no official announcement yet regarding the support for MongoDB 7.0. However, you can submit a feature request to the Azure Synapse team via the Azure Synapse feedback forum. The team regularly reviews the feedback and suggestions from the community to prioritize the features and improvements for future releases.

In the meantime, you can consider using other options to connect to MongoDB 7.0, such as using the MongoDB Connector for BI or the MongoDB Connector for Apache Spark. These connectors provide a way to integrate MongoDB data with other data sources and analytics tools. You can find more information about these connectors in the MongoDB documentation.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any further questions.
