Hybrid enviroment - UPN different from user logon name (Pre Windows 2000)

Hello Everybody, users created in ADUC can have UPN different from User Logon Name (Pre windows 2000). It can be UPN: name.lastname@domain.com ULN: Lastname. In Hybrid environment, can this create any problems whatsoever, is there any best practice from Microsoft? Best Regards Gianluca

Of course you can without any problem. In hybrid environment it’s recommended to configure UPN suffixe with a routable domain . For more information please refer to the following article:
