I have Office 365 and windows 10 on my PC When I try to create a macro I keep getting "Macro could not be created" and when I try to run an already created macro I keep getting "Macro could not be found or has been disabled because of macro security settings' I checked 'enabled' in the macro trust center and added C:/Users/Robin/Documents to my trust locations.

You should probably not have your documents folder as a trusted location, but rather your user templates folder. That is where your normal.dotm file is; that is the default storage for recorded macros.

    Try starting in safe mode.

Can you record a macro when in safe mode?

Safe mode is a diagnostic step, not a way to run Word. When asked if you want to save changes to your template when you exit safe mode, say "No." Write back with what happens. See also this question and answer on our sister forum.
