For better research, please provide more details about this case:

Will you be logged in to the same account after restarting?

Are you setting the theme to black mode in the settings? Please set the theme from the general settings in the upper right corner of the Teams client, which can easily be confused with the meeting dark mode.

There are many reasons for this problem, please try the following possible solutions:

• Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.
• Sign out of Teams and clean up the cache. On your keyboard, Hold Windows key and Press R, cut and paste %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams in the RUN then OK. Then delete the contents of the entire folder.
• Check in the Teams web client for any discrepancies. In the browser client settings, then log out and log back into the browser client. (The browser client and the desktop client are not synchronized)

This is still an issue.
Running a pixel 9 xl pro.
I went to my user bubble in the upper left to settings.
Then to "general" -> "appearance"
Changed the theme to dark, not in a meeting

This was yesterday,
today when i open or restored the app,
it was bright white again.
So i repeated the steps
