I have created a disc of 512 GiB but only 63.9 GB is available

Hi, Upon VM creation, I have added a disc of size 512 Gib. But as I log on to my VM, I see only 63.9 GB in D Drive. Please assist. Arun.

    It's possible that the disk has been added correctly, but the remaining space hasn't been allocated to a partition yet. In this case, you would need to use disk management tools in your operating system to allocate unallocated space to your D drive.

    Below are high level steps:

    · RDP to the machine

    · Select "Disk Management" from the list. This will open the Disk Management utility.

    · In Disk Management, you should see a graphical representation of all disks attached to your system.

    · Look for the disk with the 512 GB capacity. It may be labeled as "Disk 1," "Disk 2," etc.

    · Check the partitions on that disk. You may see a smaller partition (e.g., 64 GB) and unallocated space.

    · If there's unallocated space, you can right-click on the existing partition and choose "Extend Volume" to allocate the unallocated space to it. Alternatively, you can create a new partition from the unallocated space.
