Good afternoon - I hope someone can help, I have a word document saved to my OneDrive and when I select Open file from the Version history the following message appears: Cannot download the information you requested I have made sure there are no other word documents open. I get the same error message when I try using Compare Specific versions from the Review tab in Word. I have a colleague in the same team and it works fine for her, and she has "member" access privileges as I do. Yet I have another colleague who is Owner and he gets the same issue as me. SharePoint Document Library: Tried using Version history with a document saved to a Document library but View option does not give me a link to see the file, only gives details about the version. I have to right-click on the version details and use the Links offered or Save As to preview the version of the document. Is this right?

1.To view versions in the document library, go to the detail page about the version, copy the version link to open it in the browser or click the Name open in the client application.

Hi Emily, I have tried your suggestions but this still isn't working.

    1. When I select the "View" option in version history of a SP library document I do not have a link - I have to right-click on the version details on the previous list and use the Links offered or Save As to preview the version of the document. User's image User's image
      1. I have tried clearing the cache from Word as described in the Clear the Office cache article but I am still unable to use Open file from the Version history, from a word document saved to my OneDrive. The following message appears: Cannot download the information you requested

I hope you have a further suggestion Emily.

    Many thanks.
