OneNote Windows app doesn't find my notebooks

I've installed the latest OneNote. It installed Microsoft 365, which I already had installed, but that's a different question, I mention it only because it may be a symptom. When I start it up, it only has the default "My Notebook" with none of my data. I signed out and back in, but that didn't help. I cannot find a notebook selection option. Any idea what's going on here?

    Hi,

Where did you save the Notebooks? In local or OneDrive?

OneNote app and OneNote for Windows are not saved in the same location.

For OneNote app: C:<User Name\Documents\OneNote Notebooks

For OneNote for Windows: C:\U<User Name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote[version]\Notebooks
