When downloading the Hyper-V Server 2019 ISO from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/download-hyper-v-server2019 the ISO will generate a secure boot error when launched. This same problem was also reported by Rufus when checking the ISO with this tool reporting that the secure boot entry was revoked.

As such, I had two questions:

  1. Is there an up to date download of the Hyper-V Server 2019 ISO? I know from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5025885-how-to-manage-the-windows-boot-manager-revocations-for-secure-boot-changes-associated-with-cve-2023-24932-41a975df-beb2-40c1-99a3-b3ff139f832d previous secure boot entries were being revoked which may be contributing to this issue.
  2. Is there a way to retrieve the Checksum of the ISO from Microsoft? This would allow me to verify the integrity of the download as well.

    Hi Joshua,

    Hope you're doing well.

    1. It’s important to ensure your system’s firmware and secure boot database are up to date, which might resolve some of the secure boot issues.
    2. Secure boot errors can occur if the boot manager revocations have affected your ISO. You might need to adjust secure boot settings or update the secure boot keys in your UEFI firmware.
    3. Microsoft doesn’t explicitly list the checksum for the Hyper-V Server 2019 ISO on the download page. However, you can typically find this information or verify the ISO’s integrity through tools provided by Microsoft or third-party checksum utilities.

Here is the relevant doc for your reference:
