Couldn't load the data for this visual

Hello I'm trying to create a Gantt chart using a matrix in Power Bi. I followed instructions using a YouTube video I found, but on the step to create the measure for the 1's I'm getting an error. It states it "Couldn't load the data for this visual" and beneath that it states MdxScript(Model) (15,5) Calculation error in measure 'Project Data'[Column Values]: DAX comparison operations do not support comparing values of type Date with values of type Text. Consider using VALUE or FORMAT function to convert one of the values.

The issue is that the columns with relationships are all the same format - Short Date, so not sure what it needs me to change formatting on.
