Authenticator app not working

Question

Hi When i try to log in to my university account it gives me an authenticator code to put in my authenticator app but nothing comes up on my authenticator app to put the code in. I’ve tried to take the account off the app and put it in again but the same thing keeps happening. Now i can’t get into some of my university accounts. I'm not sure what to do
