I was looking at the version history and Modern Lifecycle Policy page for IoT Edge and I see that the end-of-support date for IoT Edge v1.4 LTS is Nov 12, 2024.
When will the next IoT Edge LTS release be available?
We are currently working on IoT Edge v1.5 LTS which will use .NET 8. We are targeting release in the first half of 2024. Like previous releases, support timeframe will be the same as .NET which is Nov 2026 for .NET 8.

Hello Bishal,
are there already some more details about IoT Edge v. 1.5? When will it be released? What would be the changes? We are using IotEdge for the moment and we would be interested especially in an increased limit of the allowed deployments. 100 is not enough for us. An increasement would be great!

Hi Karl, we are targeting the release of IoT Edge v1.5 in Q2 of this year. The change mostly consists of an updated .NET version i.e. .NET 8 which will be supported till November 2026 with bug fixes and security patches.
Your feedback on increasing IoT Edge automatic deployment limits is already in our backlog. However, we consider IoT Edge to be in a feature-complete state. Currently, we are not adding features to new releases. Thanks!
