Entra ID - How to have multiple street address lines?

We're currently in a hybrid AD setup after moving to 365 a couple of years ago. On-prem AD objects sync to 365. I'm currently evaluating managed email signature solutions, and something has occurred to me. Our on-prem user objects often have multiple lines for the Street field, for example something like this:

User's image

This could also be a suite number or other item that the USPS has indicated should be on its own line.

When viewed in Entra ID, there's only a single line for the Street, so it will show up there like this: User's image

Despite this, when pulling in {Street} data in a managed email signature, it looks like one would expect from the data in on-prem AD:
User's image

Trying to look forward to when I'm not creating this data on-prem and only creating a cloud user (which is how this came up, as I made a cloud user for testing), I don't see a way to have multiple values in the Street field. Obviously, just typing both lines without a space in between to mimic what's displayed above just makes one line containing that text. Is there a special code or character that could be put between Building and 1234 when entering data into Entra ID? I only see one Street field when creating users via the main 365 Admin Center as well, so I presume I'd have the same hurdle doing it that way.

    Hi @Joe Grover

    Thank you for post!

For your query, I understand that you want to know how to input multiple lines in the Street field in Entra ID. Entra ID only supports a single line for the Street field. Unfortunately, there is no special code or character that can be put between Building and 1234 to create a line break in the Street field.

As a work around you can use a delimiter character to separate the different parts of the address. For example, they can use a comma (,) or a semicolon (;) to separate the Building and 1234 parts of the address. This will make it easier to parse the address.

Also, you can use a different field to store the additional information. For example, you could use the Address field to store the full address, including the Building and Suite numbers. Alternatively, you could use a custom field to store the additional information.

I hope this information helps! please Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

    Thanks,

    Akhilesh.
