Trying to move a datalake from GRS to ZRS. The documentation says to convert to LRS and then request a migration. When I try and request a migration the options are not present at documented. It does not seem possible to request this any longer. Can anyone provide the steps to do this ?

    Hi Ian,

Is the account in one of the Regions that don't allow customer-initiated conversion? Below is list where it is not supported:

    • (Europe) Italy North
    • (Europe) UK South
    • (Europe) Poland Central
    • (Europe) West Europe
    • (Middle East) Israel Central
    • (North America) Canada Central
    • (North America) East US
    • (North America) East US 2

If yes, when creating new support request select Service type: Storage Account Managment, select the storage account from the dropdown, Problem type: Data Migration, Problem subtype: Migrate to ZRS, GZRS or RA-GZRS

    qna storage account zrs migration
