I can't log into my account and just get this error when trying to set up MFA. There was an error while enabling multi-factor authentication.

Correlation ID: beef4053-bbe5-4ce9-bd2b-c0c403f61b73 Any help would be appreciated. I am not an IT professional so please excuse my ignorance. I just spend 2 1/2 hrs. on the phone with Microsoft and they "will get back to me".
A very shortened backstory: I am a self employed Mechanical Engineer that does contract work for various companies. I have my email and web hosting with GoDaddy and have for years. They switched their mail servers to Microsoft 365 a while ago and the transition seemed to go well but then 4 months ago my email started logging me out and I would have to re-enter my password roughly every 15 minutes. 3 months ago, my password stopped working and I couldn't get into my account. This locked my email completely, (no incoming or outgoing email). I called, chatted and emailed (on my personal account) with GoDaddy for 2 months, which they reset my DNS settings, other settings, and other things multiple times. Their final conclusion was that it was a Microsoft issue and they put in a ticket.
After waiting for another month (continuously calling to get answers) I finally talked to another Microsoft rep this morning. He couldn't figure out what was wrong. I talked to a supervisor and he said they have to check with the back end team and get back to me in 2-3 hrs. I do not trust that they will get back to me (not enough space to write the amount of times I have heard this, only to be ignored for days). Please if anyone has some suggestions, I would be extremely grateful.
