VM is not up after reboot

After reboot VM is not coming up showing following warning. I have tried to refresh and reboot but no luck. Please suggest User's image

I see following RDP error User's image

It is fine before reboot, Please suggest fix for this, thank you

Hi @Varma
Azure provides boot diagnostics to help you diagnose boot failure. Check the boot diagnostics output for any errors or issues that might indicate what is wrong

Go to Azure Portal -> Virtual Machine -> Boot diagnostic and enable:

In some cases, redeploying the VM to a new host within Azure can resolve issues. This can be done through the Azure portal too

HI Jackson, I see message "Boot Diagnostics" is not configured message when I navigated to respective setting. this machine is been there and it is server. I dont think I can do VM to new host what is way Forword now?

Varma,
Click on "Settings" and enable Boot Diagnostics. You may need to specify a storage account where the diagnostics data will be stored.

But, you can try redeploy before that

As you don't know the cause of the connection, you have some ways to do it.

Enable boot diagnostics to check what state your virtual machine is in

Try redeploying your virtual machine, which will migrate it to a new Azure host (redeploy + reapply option bellow help):

Connect via serial console if there is a network problem or similar

Run VM Inspector to To troubleshoot OS and disks related issues on this virtual mac

hi @Varma redeploy does not cause any impact other than rebooting the machine to transfer physical resources.

Hi Jackson. From boot diagnostics seeing following window.

and I restarted 30 minutes ago it is showing restarted in the notifcaiton but when I connect to RDP still is giving same error

Hi @Varma In this case, you have a blue screen error, something is probably directly affecting the machine's boot. You will need to restore the backup, if you do not have a backup, you will need to attach the vm disk to another server, access the error dump Windows creates a memory dump file (*.dmp) when a blue screen occurs. This file can be analyzed using tools such as WinDbg (Windows Debugger) to determine the cause of the error. The dump file is usually located at C:\Windows\Minidump Try applying the fix and recreate a vm
