Hi, Could you please help with this issue, we have Azure VD environment with mono Win10 and multisession VDIs. Monosession VDIs are Microsoft Entra hybrid joined, Multisession are Microsoft Entra joined. User has PC with Win10 which is Microsoft Entra joined, Azure VDIs and user PC are managed by Intune. User is unable to connect to MONOSESSION VDI using Remote Desktop Client because of the error attached like in this article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1331680/azure-vd-based-connection-failed-to-connect-a-cert Although there are no issues, when user connects to MULTI session VDI with the same Remote Desktop Client and the same PC. I couldnt find much information about the issue, except the article I mentioned above and as per this article, it should work fine in our environment. Thank you for any advices.

Hi Olga, What error are you getting? The client can use both target options, so I am more likely to think the error is in the configuration of the AVD environment. Can you connect to the single-session VDI using the web client?

I attached the error. User can access single-session VDI from web browser on the same endpoint device, but cannot access it with Remote Desktop Client. User has no issues when using other endpoint device, we can also access that single-session VDI using RDC. No issues with multi session VDIs on any endpoint device. User tried to reinstall RDC but the issue is the same. I'm just wondering, what else can be wrong on the user laptop to cause issue like that.

This error looks like you are trying to use Windows Hello For Business to connect to the machine. Could you select a username and password? If this works, you probably need the SSO configuration for the host pool that is single-session VDI.
I enabled SSO for the host pool, but error is the same. What is weird, that in Azure console I see user session is in Pending state, but from user side there is the same error.
Could you let me know if you tried to connect with a username and password? I have had the same error multiple times, but each time it was SSO that wasn't working for Windows Hello For Business.
I will ask user. Although earlier there was no SSO enabled on the host pool, so not sure, if it is related
Hi Martin, user indeed confirmed that he is getting the window from Hello for Business when trying to launch monosession VDI. When he chooses user name and password authentication, it works with no issues. So the only solution is disable SSO on host pool level which will cause disabling Windows Hello for Business ? Not sure if the change will be enough on host pool level only, or something should be changed on user endpoint device level also
