Hi, I use the app with a work account, unfortunately my mobile phone died and in order for it to be looked at had to be reset to factory settings. With my new handset I have tried to add the accounts back on to the app, it starts off fine but then asks me to provide a code from the app, that would be fine to so if I wasn't in the app trying to add the account!! It seems to be locked in a viscous cycle going absolutely nowhere. Please help

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

In the absence of a backup for restoration, the sole recourse is to utilize the account recovery methods provided by each service provider. The Microsoft Authenticator functions solely as a code generator.
