Can't add sub links to top navigation.

I cannot figure out/remember how to add subsites to our top/main menu (for example, adding another, existing subsite of HR to the list of three subsites already showing there): User's image

We are using SharePoint 2016 and I am an administrator with Full Control permissions. There is no "Edit" option for the top links other than going through the Site Settings --> Navigation. Within that, there is no methodology for adding/removing the subsite links from the HR navigation. I know I've done it in the past (obviously, based on the three links there already), but I just can't remember how. Any know?

    Hi @Sean Sailor ,

The simplest way is to first add HR to the top link bar, and then drag it to turn it into a next-level menu.

    1. Click Edit Links on the Top Link Bar.

    toplinkbar-editlinks

    1. Create new menu entries/links, by clicking New Link button.

    addnewlink

    1. Once new links have been created, simply Drag and Drop menu links one under another.
    2. You can build multiple levels of menus using this technique.

    topnavbar-dropdown

    1. Don’t forget to hit Save once all set and done.

    It worked for me:

    User's image

Hi @Sean Sailor , Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought it was because there was no EDIT option where the arrow pointed in your screenshot. You can try switching browsers or using another authorized account to see if there is any improvement.
