"There is a problem with this website's security certificate" error when a federated user signs out of Microsoft 365, Intune, or Azure

Message received while connecting: The connection has timed out

An error occurred during a connection to certauth.login.microsoftonline.com.

  • The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
  • If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
  • If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox Developer Edition is permitted to access the web.

    As Vahid stated, check your time or your time servers (if you are using a time server through a Domain Controller):

    You can do this by running the following command in command prompt:
