DNS Zone cannot be deleted because of parent lock but the parent (domain) has NOT been created due to lack of invoice history.

Question

I have tried to buy a .com domain but i have been encountered by an error message due to lack of invoice history but despite of the fact the domain resource has NOT been created but the DNS zone was and since then It's draining the money continuously for nothing. Additionally DNS zone cannot be deleted due to the following error message:

'***.com' can't be deleted because either you do not have permission or the resource has parent lock/s. Locks must be removed before this resource can be deleted. <a href="">Learn more</a>

How I could unlock the parent resource if the parent resource (the domain) haven't been created by the Azure?

Hi, Only the Owner and the User Access Administrator built-in roles can create and delete management locks. To get all the locks in your subscription, use:Get-AzResourceLock To delete a lock for a resource, use: $lockId = (Get-AzResourceLock -ResourceGroupName exampleresourcegroup -ResourceName examplesite -ResourceType Microsoft.Web/sites).LockId Remove-AzResourceLock -LockId $lockId
